general information
A regional classic, very sharky but ultimately rewarding in the right conditions. It is rare to not see the point with any waves at all but the quality of the banks can be the determining factor. 4WD access only to Fraser Island and the point. You really don't want to be doing a lot of unesecarry paddling in these waters and try to avoid surfing at dusk or dawn. The shark stories keep the crowds down at least but it is worth surfing with a buddy...a really good one.
