general information
A classic right hander but very sharky. Depending on who you talk to someone will have a shark story to shake you to the very core about surfing on Fraser Island. There is no denying it, there are a lot of fish and hence sharks in the area. Sometimes one shark story can be recycled over and over and suddenly the place seems to be crawling with them.
Anyway, if you see Indian Point on a good day you are probably going to put all those stories to the back of your mind. A steady supply of east coast sand feeds the point with quality banks year round and any swell from the SE to the east will light this point right up. The shark stories and the 4WD access will keep the crowds down for you, to be honest it is often quite welcoming to have someone else in the water with you...for starters it reduces your risk of shark attack by 50%.
