general information

Located in Noosa National park, this spot encompasses so many factors surf population is after, including warm water, golden ladies, long rides and breath-taking scenery, which eventuated in the immense popularity of this spot. Walk for 10 minutes along the path, spot a couple of koalas snoozing on the trees. There is a sign informing visitors of the location - 'Tea Tree Bay'.  Plunge into milk-like waters of the bay and paddle for a bit to get to the point, you can score some waves on the way to the wall birth point. Other option is rocking off south side, where you can walk around the bay's rocks or follow the pathway a bit longer and track down the rock face leading to the furthest point of the break.  Drop is rather manageable, depending on how deep you like to take off and suction of the wave, difficulty can increase proportionally. On average day it is common to see 25-50 guys out, mostly on longboards and fishes managing to score 300+m rides, with a good day board count going to 100+ and ultra long walls turning glass, turning cylinders. Take a deep breath, enjoy the views and be patient, your wave will come. Try not to run over fellow surfers while shredding it to pieces.
