general information

North Wall is a small wedge of a wave that breaks along the northern section of the man made harbour that struts out into the ocean. Regular light wind patterns will shift a lot of sand into the corners here and when the right swell comes along courtesy of a cyclone to the north - blammo - WAVES.

This spot can produce spitting sandy barrels better suited to shortboards or bodyboarders. The Harbour is easy to find from Mackay, just follow the signage until you hit the coast. This spot works at its best during cyclonic swell but regular windswell in the summer can produce a ruffled right hander that attracts admirers for miles...and miles around.
