general information

From the north, Turtle Bay marks the entrance to the legendary North Shore of Oahu, the worl'd's premier surfing coastline. Here you will find the large upscale Turtle Bay Hilton Resort out on the point. Just to the south of the lies long right hander breaking over a sandy reef, that on it's day can be very good. However prone to being wind affected. When working bring your fish or longboard and carve up the long walls and odd hollow section. Nice place to have fun if you can't handle the epic waves further south. The bay is named after the large number of green sea turtles that used to inhabit the area. There are far fewer of them today, but you can still spot one or two close to the shore if you’re lucky.
