general information

Located at the southern end of Cayton Bay. On it's day this is one of the best beach breaks on the north east coast. Produces fast heavy barrels that wrap left and right around horse shoe shaped sand banks produced by concrete World War II bunkers on the beach. Difficult paddle out when big with strong rips, definatly not for beginners. Mid to high tide only as an offshore reef becomes exposed and protects this break at low tide. There is a car park and surf shop at the top of the cliff with hot showers.
