general information
Located hundreds of miles off the coast of San Diego is the Cortez Bank. It's best described as an underwater mountain range the just falls short of island status, the highest peak being a mere few feet below sea level. Huge open ocean Pacific Ocean swells "trip over" this peak with full open ocean force and turn into some of the biggest, most powerful rideable surf known to man.
It's a serious mission to surf it, obviously you ain't paddling on over to this thing, you're gonna need a well supplied boat to get you out there after you've completed your dedicated training program and years of experience of big wave riding and tow surfing it takes to ride these 60ft monsters. It's a dream of a wave few of us will even witness let alone be good enough and oppertune enough to ride it.
