general information

A serious big wave for serious big wave riders that have dedicated a lot of time to the correct fitness and tow surfing training program, without which this wave could very easily see you off. It's one of the Everests of the surfing world that few have conquered. The only way to take this wave on is with the correct tow-in equipment (i.e. jetskis, footstraps, etc) and a team you can trust your life with.

It'll start to break at around 12-15 and is said to still hold form at 50ft plus, maybe more, it's a true Galiath of a wave best witnessed from the relative comfort of a helicopter!! Although you can also witness this beast from the cliffs at the northern end of the Peahi Valley on the Island of Maui.
