general information
A collection of classic Western Australian reefs can be found here offering lefts and rights in the hollow square tube type of variety, the lefts are generally the best. They handle size well are for experienced surfers only. All tides work and a thumping southwest swell with southeasterly winds will make you think you have died and gone to surf heaven.
Yallingup is a classis style big wave. It breaks left and right, and is surfable from three foot to twelve foot. The left can be a bit full and the right can shut down. This aside Yall’s is a consistent wave which picks up a lot of swell. Yallingup is popular with long-boarders and there is a core local crew who surf the place regularly. To the south of the peak is ‘The Button’ a left which sucks up off the reef before reeling left. The Button needs to be four to five foot before it starts breaking properly. Yall’s is a good consistent wave overlooked by Yallingup township. It’s also good place to check the swell on those cold winter mornings while sitting in your car with the heater on full blast. BT
