general information
Evos is a small, short right-hand reef break, located between Steps and Boobs. The wave breaks close to the shoreline, and has particularly good shape when it’s working. Evos is a small, high performance wave best suited to grommets, and smaller surfers riding short-boards.
The surf is best at two to three foot (waist to head-high), but any bigger and it tends to break too far out missing the inside section of the reef. Evos will always be one foot smaller than Steps and Boobs. It is a shallow wave, and some patches of the reef are particularly sharp, so if you wipe-out avoid breaking your fall with your head.
Park at the Steps car park and walk down the same track - Evos is 200 metres west of the stairs.
Evos isn’t an overly consistent wave, but when it’s working this little spot is perfect for high energy surfers who want to go fast, and crack a couple of quick turns.
