general information
Middleton Point is located right in the popular seaside town of Middleton 90 minutes south of Adelaide. Despite calling it a point, it is more of a reef break. Waves break on the end of a rocky out crop. Depending on wave size and direction waves can get good right or left. Middleton holds swells from 2 to 8ft and can get good in the right conditions.
Although on a reef, it is not a nasty wave, it tends to just roll along. The trick is the long paddle out after a rock jump off, on bigger days the paddle out can be a hundred or so metres against the in coming whitewash.
Down the beach can also producer decent beach breaks on its day as well as opportunities for beginners.
