general information

Goolwa is the beach of the township of Goolwa, a popular tourist spot 90 minutes south of Adelaide. The beach is just a long stretch of beach with Middleton at the west end and the mouth of the Murray River to the East.

Waves break depending on the sand banks and swell size. Goolwa is best on 3-6ft days but can hold larger swells. Due to the gradual slope of the beach waves tend to break softly and along way out to sea, on a 4 ft day you may have to paddle out 300m or so.

Can be suited to all level of surfer from beginners to expert.
