general information

Vivonne Bay is a 6km stretch of beach that has the mouths of two rivers along it. It is a walk in a fairly easy paddle out. Waves are best in smaller swells and off shore winds. If the swell is SW then swell size will get bigger the further you go east along the beach. Sand banks can produce fun waves and the small waves are suited to beginners. Take care, you are along way from help (40min to Kingscote)

Does get cold in winter. This is close to a seal colony so there are sharks about too...!
