general information

North Palmy or Barrenjoey is the break below the lighthouse at the north end of Plam Beach. Access is on foot along the beach for about 400m.

The wave varies a lot, on a good day on a NE swell you can get a barrelling left point style wave. On a regular day there is a selection of beach breaks that are usually uncrowded due to the effort required to get there.

On days when it is over 4ft The 'Joey is a wave for the experienced but on smaller swells it is ideal for all. Keep an eye out for rips as that end of the beach can get a bit rippy.
