general information
South Avalon is easy to find, just across the road from the village. Paddle out is from the beach with a few rocks to keep an eye out for.
Best conditions at South Av are smaller to medium swell and an off shore SW - W wind. The backs can get good here, often with solid walls and more than the odd barrel.
Crowds can get up in numbers, especially on a weekend or holiday but if you just take it easy you will find waves. A fun wave that can produce all kinds of sections to work on.
