general information
Boca de Apisa is another wave from the Escondido/Pascuales school of hard knocks. At mid tide on a huge south swell is best when this hollow, thick lipped beast is winding up to grind the unwary into the black volcanic sand bank it flips over on. Bring bicycle clips for your boardies for the drop (they stop the crap escaping) and spare boards for when things don't go to plan. This break is just to the north of the Colima/Michoacán Border.
