general information
Tucked in behind the headland north of Bombo Beach is Boneyards. You need to get off the highway at the top of the hill and make your way down the back streets, over the railway bridge and right along the hilltop to the carpark. You will be looking down on the break.
Paddle out is from the rocks next to the break or below the carpark. From the rocks beside the break you need to time it right, if you go from below the carpark it is longer but a lot easier as you just paddle across into the break.
Boneyards needs a BIG southerly swell or a NE swell with a southerly wind to get going but once it does it is mechanical. A near perfect right that runs along and barrels as it goes. Can hold up to 10ft easily enough although best at 3-6ft. A great wave for good surfers, can get crowded, wait your turn.
