First discovered by visiting US Marines, Qulansiyah breaks maybe 3 time per year. The ancient sandbanks will work on easterly swells but the rarer windswell from the west actually grinds along these banks very nicely. A great wave if you can get it but very difficult to travel to at this stage, the tourist warning of travel to Yemen makes it even harder. The people here are basically fishermen and goat herders and have no interest in blowing things up -  a refreshing attitude I am sure you will agree.

Put it down as one to surf on the future when the middle east is saved by surfing and someone build a camp on the island.
