general information

Shelly Beach is the main beach of East Ballina. Actual beach is less than 1km long. Easy to find as it is well sign posted and right next to a main street that runs behind the dunes. Carparks all along.

A nice beach break when the banks are right. Ideal in a small to medium E to NE swell. On a good NE swell the north end of the beeach can really turn on with long lefts. Local refer to it as "Shelly-watu" when the lefts are working.

Fun waves with little to worry about. Worth a look, especially if the banks are right.
