Fisho’s resembles a lake and not a surfing spot 99% of the time. The swell must be huge before waves start breaking around here. If Bells is 10-12 foot (four to six times overhead) Fisho’s may be one to two foot (waist high).
When it’s working, Fisho’s is a long and perfect right-hand point break, ideal for long-boarders. But, while there are waves occasionally, this spot is more suited to activities such as beach cricket and building sand castles.
Fisho’s is located on The Esplanade just east of Torquay Back Beach.
