general information
The beach inside the bay under the light house. Wategoes is the 'rich and famous' region of Byron Bay and the beach it self is beautiful. The wave is mostly a soft right 'point break' but often there are beachies further down. It is a soft wave for the most part, with a high population of mals and learners. A great beach for the family. Only hazards are an occasional rip on bigger days and a few rocks in the corner.
