general information

A long sandy point break east of Byron Bay town centre. Follow famous Byron beach along to the right and you will end up at The Pass. Easy walk or park the car nearby.

Far from a secret, this beautiful right hander is the domain of locals and plenty of visitors. A very long right hand, sand bottom point. The paddle out is simple, just jump in. The rip can pull you down the point on bigger days.

The wave it self has a tricky take off behind 'the rock' but if you aren't up fpr the hussle then you can pick a spot further down the line to catch waves that section off and shut down some surfers.

The inside bank is also an ideal place to learn to surf as it is a smooth sand bottom and easy to stand.

A great wave that varies greatly as you go down the line but when it is lining up it is world class. Crowds can be an issue during holiday season.
