general information
This is a long and powerful - very powerful - right hand reef break that wraps and picks it's way along a slab rock sea bed into a bay. It can hold waves up to 16 ft + and is also nice and hollow. When on it will be crowded with locals so please bring plenty of respect for a pleasant, if not a tad scary surf. On it's day a lot of people say that this is Portugals best wave - it is easy to seeke that why many may state that claim.
It works best at mid to low tide on a northwest swell and easterly offshore winds, the rips can be horrendous and entry and exit from the water can be a bit sketchy over the rocks. Experts only on this one.
