LOCATION Ribeira Valley Surf Club is located near Ribeira d’Ilhas Beach, between Ericeira and Ribamar. Nestling on the Atlantic coast a short drive north of Lisbon, Ericeira is a traditional fishing village and Portugal's surfing Mecca, internationally renowned as one of the best surfing spots in Europe. Since 1985 it has played host to the ASP (WQS) world championship. Five minutes away from the centre of Ericeira and next to the beach, Ribeira Valley Surf Club features three rooms with a capacity of 10 people, and a camping area (10 people), as well as a range of leisure activities. The facilities are situated near of a beach break with perfect waves for all levels, and a short distance from several of Portugal's best surfing breaks, such as Coxos and Pedra Branca. SURF SCHOOL The school guarantees quality teaching with special attention to safety. The surf lessons will be planned daily by the surf monitors, taking into consideration the surf level of participants and weather conditions. Qualified instructors that speak Portuguese, English and Spanish. If there’s no waves in Ribeira d’ilhas beach we have the “ Gipsy vans” to move around and get the best surf spots, traveling comfortable. SURFSPOTS Ericeira boasts some of the best waves in Portugal, starting with Ribeira d’Ilhas, a right point break just in front of the camp and accessible to all levels of surf. But world class spots in the area are the famous Coxos, a totally epic right hander reef break, and Pedra Blanca reef break in Ericeira, one of the few left handers in the region. Near by Ericeira we have good beach breaks as well, such as : São Julião and Foz do Lizandro, with a nice long sand banks. ACCOMMODATION Ribeira Valley Surf Club House The house is located in the valley of Santo Isidoro, builted in 1811 and reconstructed in 2007. The house it’s surrounded by strong green nature. In the camping area we have a nice grass field with pears and apple trees.
