St. Lawrence River

Surifng Quebec means river surfing the Saint Lawrence River.  Wait until it's thawed and conditins warm enough to venture outside, most likley somewhere between May and September each year.  Prior and after this and you may need your ice skates.

The waves will be of the standing wave variety like the canal surfing in Europe.  This does require a bit of experience, but master it and you can surf a single wave all day.

The main spots lie in Montreal and include breaks such as Habitat 67 and Chambly.

Don't come in just your boardshorts, this adventure will require gloves and booties and a 4/3.  Unless you're used to ultra cold water or are a brass monkey, bring a hood as well.
