Cocos Island is a nationally protected jungle-covered island and national park, approximately 300 miles southwest of Cabo Blanco, Costa Rica. The island is surrounded by deepwaters and is greatly admired by scuba divers for its famous hammerhead sharks, rays, dolphins and other large marine species.
