The West shore of Oahu is also referred to as the Leeward Coast. Cities in this region include Nanakuli, Maili, Waianae, Makaha and Hanaka. This side of Oahu is drier and hotter than any other parts of the island. Makaha Beach is one of the best all-round beaches in the world.

The west coast of O'ahu is fairly well protected from strong surf conditions even during the winter months making this beach a haven for the winter traveler. Its coral reef slopes gradually downward providing great swimming year round. It has a beautiful and stable sandy beach area.

There aren't many options here for you to choose from.

However, you could either stay at Makaha Golf Resor, or just the beach for a night and continue your tour around Oahu.
